Enlace is coordinating an education and outreach project in the Niagara region in the summer of 2009. Funded by the Carrot Commons’ Carrot Cache, the “Facilitating Access: Sexual and Reproductive Health for Farm Workers in the Niagara region” project has 3 main objectives:
- bring relevant sexual education to farm workers in the region
- provide workers with support in accessing health services around concerns that they might have
- provide healthcare practitioners in the region with the opportunity to receive more information about key topics in sexual health facing migrant workers and to learn about the barriers that migrant workers face when accessing healthcare.
